Our Performance Academy Soccer Camp is designed for the passionate soccer player. The SSA Performance Academy Soccer Camp will expose all participants to the best on and off-field soccer training, competitions, and activities to maximize full potentials and prepare each player to dominate their teammates and opponents in their upcoming season.

The SSA Youth Performance Academy soccer camp will emerge participants in technical, tactical, and functional sessions. Speed, agility, and quickness training. Fun and intense small-sided competitions, and 8v8 and 11v11 match games. Off the field, participants receive dynamic classroom and video sessions, and to maximize quick recovery and regeneration between field sessions, SSA integrates fun off-field activities such as inner-tube floating the Yampa River, swimming in Steamboat’s world famous hot springs pools, and more.

High School Age Players (ages 14-19)

The SSA High School Performance Academy soccer camp curriculum challenges players in technical, tactical, and functional training; speed, agility, and quickness training, and fun and intense small-sided competitions. Finally, match games are a daily focus as participates compete in the SSA Cup. To maximize quick recovery and regeneration between field sessions, SSA integrates fun off-field activities such as inner-tube floating the Yampa River, swimming in Steamboat’s world famous hot springs pools, and more.

Not only a player development camp – the SSA High School Camp is a true College I.D. Camp. All participants are coached by a diverse collection of college coaches (ranging from NAIA to D1) providing recruiting exposure in all training session and match games. The SSA also provides off-field training via College Q&A classroom sessions with our college staff, insider information on the recruiting process, the life of a college athlete, and NCAA compliance.

  • 9:00-11:00  Goalkeeper Sessions #2 – Diving Saves low/med/high; 1v1 breakaways

  • 12:30-1:15 Relax, and power nap
  • 1:45-2:50 Field Player Session#3 – Runs in the box; crossing and slotting balls; play in the attacking 1/3rd
  • 1:45-2:50  Goalkeeper Session #3  – Dealing with Crosses – Tipping/Parrying
  • 2:50-3:00 Break
  • 3:00-4:00  SSA Cup- Match Game #2
  • 4:15-5:30 Swim at Hot Springs Pool

  • 9:00-11:00 Field Player Session #4:Warm-up games; barefoot technical training; shooting & finishing
  • 9:00-11:00 Goalkeeper Sessions #4: Angle play and positioning
  • 11:30-12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30-1:15 Relax and power nap.
  • 1:30-2:45  Field Player Session #5: Team Defending
  • 1:30-2:45 Goalkeeper Sessions #5: Defending set pieces – Defensive Organization
  • 2:50-3:15 Shuttle to College – Quick change into River Tubing Attire (Swim suits, old shoes, shorts, etc.)–transfer to Yampa River.
  • 3:15-4:45 Float the Yampa River
  • 5:00-6:00 Dinner
  • 6:00-7:00 Classroom Session – Life of a College/University Student-Athlete, NCAA Rules Compliance, Recruiting Process, and  Q&A with Collegiate Staff
  • 7:30-9:15  6v6 Competition Extravaganza – High School Stadium Field
  • 9:30 Shuttle to the College; Commuters dismissed.
  • 9:45-10:00  Soccer videos; pizza slices; showers, relax.
