Sample Premier Camp Schedule

Take a look at this sample daily schedule for 9-day Premier Camp, to get a better idea of what to expect from the Steamboat Soccer Academy. We have included a few sample sessions as well. Final schedules will be emailed to each registered participant in their camper’s packets, as well as at check-in. Camper packets are sent out and posted online no less than one week before the beginning of your registered camp.

Day 1 - Check-in and Introduction Sessions

  • 12:00-2:00 Player Check-in at Colorado Mountain College - All players must check-in at CMC.
  • 2:30 Opening Meeting with Coaches and your group
  • 2:45-4:45 Field Session#1 – 1v1 attacking and defending - techniques and positioning for success
  • 2:45-4:45 Goalkeeper Session#1 – Shoot preparation; Shoot stopping low/mid/high
  • 5:15-6:00 Dinner
  • 6:00-6:30 Classroom Session – Goal setting: Staying on track.
  • 7:00-8:30 Match Game #1
  • 9:00-10:00 Pizza slices: showers and relax.
  • 10:15 Lights Out!

Day 2

  • 7:15 Wake Up Call
  • 7:30 Breakfast
  • 9:00-11:00 Field Player Session #2 – Competitive Possession Games w/emphasis speed of play
  • 9:00-11:00 Goalkeeper Sessions #2 – Diving Saves low/med/high; 1v1 breakaways
  • 11:30-12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30-1:15 Relax, and power nap
  • 1:30-2:50 Field Player Session#3 – Runs in the box; crossing and slotting balls; play in the attacking 1/3rd
  • 1:30-2:50 Goalkeeper Session #3  – Dealing with Crosses; Tipping/Parrying
  • 2:50-3:00 Break
  • 3:00-4:00 Match Game #2
  • 4:15-5:30 Swim at Steamboat Springs Hot Springs Pool
  • 5:45– 6:15 Dinner
  • 7:00-8:30 Field Session – 4v4 Tournament

Day 3

  • 1:30-3:00 Field Player Session #5: Going to Goal – shooting and finishing
  • 1:30-3:00 Goalkeeper Sessions #5: Defending set-pieces – shot-stopping incorporated w/ field players going to goal
  • 3:15-4:45 Tube Float the Yampa River – a blast and very refreshing
  • 5:00-6:00 Dinner
  • 6:00-7:00 Classroom Session – Performance Habits of Highly Successful Players
  • 7:30-9:30 Adidas Rules 6v6 Competition Extravaganza
